UBA

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) is a programme that was formally launched by the Ministry of Education (MoE) in the presence of the President of India on 11 November, 2014.

The Mission and Vision of UBA are based on the Gandhian vision of self-sufficient villages. These villages are based on local resources using decentralized, eco-friendly technologies to fulfill the basic needs ranging from food to transportation. The great disparity between the rural and urban sectors causes great discontent among the people which UBA seeks to address.

Mission

  • To enable higher educational institutions to work with the people of rural India in identifying development challenges and evolving appropriate solutions for accelerating sustainable growth.
  • To create a virtuous cycle between society and an inclusive academic system by providing knowledge and practices for emerging professions .
  • To upgrade the capabilities of both the public and the private sectors in responding to the development needs of rural India.

Our College got selected to the UBA Programme and has adopted five villages namely,
