Anti- Drug Awareness Campaign Inauguration

The inauguration of the Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign was held on 23 June 2025 at college auditorium, marking a significant step towards fostering a drug-free environment within our community. The event was presided over by the esteemed Principal, Dr. Letha P. Cheriyan, who emphasized the importance of awareness and education in combating drug abuse among the youth.

The chief guest for the occasion was Mr. Shihab V. S., Assistant Sub Inspector of the Social Policing Wing, Ernakulam Rural, Aluva. Mr. Shihab delivered an impactful speech highlighting the alarming rise in drug-related issues in society and the critical role that educational institutions play in addressing these challenges. He shared statistics that underscored the urgency of the situation, noting that drug abuse not only affects individuals but also families and communities at large.

Mr. Shihab V. S. encouraged students to be vigilant and proactive in their approach to drug awareness. He urged them to engage in open discussions about the dangers of drug use and to support their peers in making healthy choices. His message resonated with the audience, inspiring many to take a stand against drug abuse.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from both students and staff, who engaged in various activities aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of drug use. Students presented skits and role-plays that depicted the consequences of drug abuse, while others shared personal stories and testimonials that highlighted the impact of drugs on their lives and communities.

The Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign is set to continue with a series of seminars, competitions and community outreach programs aimed at educating the public and reducing the stigma associated with seeking help for drug-related issues.
