  • Sneha Bhanu Menon (III B.A. English) and Ms. Roshin T Roy (Assistant Professor, Department of English Presented a presented a paper titled ”Disposable Lives’ and Regal ”Death Worlds”’ in the two- day International Seminar on Beyond the Word: Navigating the Frontiers of English Literature organised by the Post graduate and Research Departments of English, St. Xavier’s College Aluva and Sree Sankara College, Kalady on 19 February 2024.
  • Ann Mary Jeby (II B.A. English) and Dr. Minu Susan Koshy presented paper titled “Animated Tales of the Plasticene: A Comparative Inquiry into the Portrayal of Plastic in Cartoons from India and the USA”, at the National Seminar on Visual Narratives, on 2 February 2024 at BCM College, Kottayam.
  • Krishnendu V.S. (I B.A. English) successfully completed the NPTEL 4-week course on Effective Writing.
  • Sreelakshmi N.R. (II B.A. English) successfully completed the NPTEL 12-week course on Modern Indian Writing in Translation.

  • Chaithanya Elsa Achankunju delivered a lecture on ‘Introduction to Memory Studies’ in a webinar organised by S.D. College Alappuzha on 30 May 2024.
  • Preethi Sara Joseph delivered a lecture on Nuts and Bolts of Research: an Overview in an invited lecture organised by the Department of English in association with IQAC, MES T.O. Abdulla Memorial College, Kunnukara on 25 March 2024
  • Sangeetha Rachel Koruth delivered a lecture on The Broken Psyche: Unveiling the Vignettes of Trauma in a webinar organised by P.G. and Research Department of English, S. D. College, Alappuzha on 3 April 2024.
  • Roshin T. Roy attended the UGC sponsored Refresher Course in Film Studies (Interdisciplinary) conducted by the UGC – Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre, University of Calicut from 12.03.2024 to 25.03.2024 in Hybrid (offline/online) mode.
  • Dr. Minu Susan Koshy presented a paper titled “‘Othered’ Odours of Culinary Work in Indian Narratives: Decoding Cultural Representations of the ‘Stench’ of Dried Fish in India” at the International Conference on “Work and Smell: Comparative Perspectives” organised by Goldsmiths, University of London from 25-26 April 2024.
  • Dr. Minu Susan Koshy is selected for the Virtual Summer School on ‘Waste Worlding’ conducted by Bucknell University, USA, from 3-6 June 2024.
  • Chaithanya Elsa Achankunju successfully completed a Certificate Course on Intersectionality Studies organised by Disha and Dakshayani Velayudhan Centre for Women’s Studies, Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady
  • Chaithanya Elsa Achankunju presented a Paper titled ‘Enviornment Rights, Political Policies, Women in The Four Winds’ in the two-day International Seminar on Beyond the Word: Navigating the Frontiers of English Literature organised by the Post graduate and Research Departments of English, St. Xavier’s College Aluva and Sree Sankara College, Kalady on 19 February 2024.
